School District Town Hall: Expulsions

Now that the 2023-2024 school year has begun, it is a good time for a refresher on expulsions. Several recent DPI decisions could require a change in multiple stages of your expulsion process. Failure to get these new requirements right could result in overturned expulsions and increased costs to districts. Our panelists of School Law attorneys, many of whom are co-authors of the Wisconsin Expulsion Digest, will review best practices, recent decisions and key holdings from DPI expulsion appeal decisions.
