About Debtor Representation Services
Bankruptcy necessarily impacts a whole host of practice specialties, including finance, mergers and acquisitions, tax, labor and employment, securities, health care, corporate, and real property law. Our Restructuring and Insolvency Section provides debtor representation services by utilizing a hub and spoke model. A core bankruptcy group is supplemented by attorneys with both subject matter expertise and an understanding of how bankruptcy impacts their respective practice specialties. Our hub and spoke model differentiates us from other law firms and maximizes the value of our legal services.
The Small Business Reorganization Act of 2019 (“SBRA”) has the potential to change the restructuring landscape for lower middle market companies. Prior to SBRA, chapter 11 bankruptcy was not a realistic option for many companies because it was too expensive and companies found it difficult to meet the reorganization requirements. SBRA is designed for the lower middle market. SBRA reduces the time and expense of chapter 11 cases and modifies reorganization requirements to make it much more likely that lower middle market companies will successfully reorganize.
