Clay Williams served on the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Corporation and Business Law Committee from its inception in 1985 and as its chair from 1987. The Committee was responsible for redrafting the Wisconsin Business Corporation Code. He assisted in the creation and was co-chair of the State Bar’s Committee on Business Law, a subcommittee of which drafted Chapter 183. He was also a member of the Ad Hoc Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar and the Business Law Committee appointed to effect improvements in the law governing the issue of limited liability for professionals. He was appointed by former Governor Thompson as a member of the Task Force on the Creation of a Wisconsin Business Court.
