Curt Walther is a member of the Business Practice Group. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, business succession planning and general business and transactional matters.

Curt has represented both buyers and sellers for a wide-range of transaction sizes and in many sectors including manufacturing, construction, food and beverage, technology, distribution, media and broadcast, real estate, and service businesses. His clients value his meticulous approach to transactions while also remaining practical and focused on client goals.

Curt assists clients through every stage of the business lifecycle, from entity formation and capital structure planning, to pre-sale reorganizations and business planning, to the due diligence process and drafting complex purchase agreements. Each client engagement is focused on maximizing business and transaction value, while analyzing each client’s unique situation and achieving the desired results. The synergies developed from these value-driven and goal-oriented approaches are the cornerstone of Curt’s partnership with each client.

His tax experience includes partnership tax special allocations and capital shift analysis, Section 754 basis adjustment analysis, gift tax planning and valuation issues, deferred compensation planning, qualified business income deduction planning, including analysis of leases with real estate holding entities, like-kind exchange issues, and Circular 230 defense matters.
