George Evans began his legal career representing privately owned companies with the objective of helping such companies and their owners and employees achieve financial goals. This included drafting pension and profit-sharing plans and advising corporate officers and fiduciaries regarding plan administration.
Over the years, George’s practice has increasingly focused on personal services for individuals and families. Today he advises clients on all aspects of income, gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer taxation, and frequently supervises or manages the administration of estates and trusts.
George is a member of the Milwaukee Estate Planning Association and the Milwaukee Estate Planning Forum and was a founding member and director of Wisconsin Retirement Plan Professionals, Ltd. He has been an active participant in State Bar of Wisconsin and Milwaukee Bar Association activities.
With a long-standing interest in Milwaukee-area charitable organizations, George served as chair of a United Way allocations committee; and throughout the last four decades, he has been involved with the Milwaukee Art Museum in various capacities, including treasurer, trustee, docent, officer of Friends of Art, and first president of Print Forum. He is a past president of the Friends of Old World Wisconsin and the Yale Association of Wisconsin, a past officer of Friends of Villa Terrace, and a current trustee of Layton Art Collection, Inc.
