Bob Johnson is a Shareholder in the Litigation and Risk Management Practice Group. His practice is concentrated in litigation, with emphasis on insurance litigation (including bad faith), product liability, nursing home, environmental, commercial and class actions. Throughout his career he has tried over 175 jury cases. Trials in recent years have involved issues related to insurance and construction contracts, professional malpractice, nursing homes, catastrophic injuries (including product liability and asbestos claims), and class actions. He represents a number of insurance companies, with a particular focus on insurance coverage issues including environmental, construction, and intellectual property matters. He has argued 15 cases before the Wisconsin Supreme Court. In addition, he has handled numerous cases in both the Eastern and Western Federal District Courts of Wisconsin, and appeals to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He has represented clients in jurisdictions outside of Wisconsin, including Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, Iowa and Kansas, and has defended class actions in several jurisdictions, including Texas, Florida, Georgia and Illinois.
Bob is a member of the American and Milwaukee Bar Associations, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Bar Association of the Seventh Federal Circuit, The American Association for Justice, the Defense Research Institute, and The Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers.
