Monica Wedgewood is an attorney in the Madison office of von Briesen. Monica represents family law clients in a variety of matters, including divorce, child custody and placement, paternity, and support issues. She is committed to working with clients to navigate challenging family situations and achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients.
Monica also represents individuals and businesses in commercial and business litigation disputes including contract and lease disputes, construction defects and property damage claims, shareholder disputes, and general civil litigation matters. She helps clients develop strategies and understand potential outcomes, and strongly advocates for her client’s best interests at every stage of the dispute.
In 2018, Monica was recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal as one of their "Up and Coming Lawyers", view video. Since 2017, she has been recognized as a Rising StarSM by Wisconsin Super Lawyers®.
She is active in the greater Madison community. Monica is a board member of the Madison Public Library Foundation and provides pro bono representation for victims of domestic abuse in cooperation with Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS). She is a member of the Dane County Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin, and the James E. Doyle American Inn of Court.
