Tom Moniz is a Shareholder in the Business Practice Group and the Chair of the firm’s Nonprofit and Tax Exemption Section. Tom assists clients on all aspects of business and estate planning, including:

Tom’s clients often view him as a legacy advisor. As such, Tom uses a personal, connected approach to work with clients and their families related to their unique business needs, personal needs and assets in conjunction with their estate plans. Tom especially enjoys working collaboratively and strategically with clients and their team of other trusted advisors – an approach that he believes adds value now and for successive generations.
Additionally, as the Chair of the Nonprofit and Tax Exemption section, Tom counsels clients on a variety of matters including nonprofit entity selection, Benefit Corporations, article and bylaw drafting, governance structure, and obtaining tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(3) or other Sec. 501 organization.
Tom is active in the local community, currently serving on the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation Audit Committee, as President of the Winnebagoland Estate Planning Council, President and Chair of the Executive Committee for Ripon Main Street, Inc. and Past-President and director for the Ripon Education Foundation. His community service also includes previous roles as an officer and director for the local United Way, the Little White School House Foundation, Inc. and the Thrasher Opera House. His professional memberships include the Winnebago County Bar Association, the Ripon/Green Lake Area Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin.
