Kate focuses her practice on patent application preparation, examiner interviews, amendments, appeals and opinions of counsel. Her academic and work experience have provided Kate with expertise in many technologies including chemical engineering, material science, physical chemistry, organic chemistry, metallurgy and mechanics.
Kate attended the University of Nevada, Reno and obtained a B.S. in chemical engineering with a materials science focus. She then worked as a production engineer in a metal refining plant until realizing her future was in patent law. Kate graduated with honors from University of Nevada, William S. Boyd School of Law with an intellectual property concentration.
Kate is an active member of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC) and the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).
