With a broad technical background, John has practical experience in electrical, mechanical, and nuclear engineering fields. For the past few years John has been focused exclusively on patent prosecution. Some of the technologies with which he has significant experience include electro-mechanical arts, engines, transmissions, medical devices, aerospace, computer methods, and large mining equipment.
John studied Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University and spent nearly ten years as a fast-attack Nuclear Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy. After the Navy, John attended evening law school at Chicago-Kent and worked full-time as an electrical interconnect Sales Engineer, servicing Chicagoland’s data communication manufacturers. After law school, he gained patent prosecution experience at a boutique firm by searching, drafting utility patent applications, and drafting responses to U.S. and international Office Actions related to the areas of data communication systems, augmented and virtual reality, electrical circuits, and autonomous vehicles technology.
