Mike Happe focuses his practice on insurance defense and civil litigation including the defense of medical malpractice, personal injury and premises liability claims. He represents individuals, small business, and large corporations in business and commercial litigation. He is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin, Minnesota and New Mexico.
Mike has tried cases before judges and juries in state and federal courts. He has also argued appeals before the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago.
Outside of the office, Mike has served on numerous charitable, business, and professional boards, including Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity (president), Literacy Volunteers of the Chippewa Valley, Friends of Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire Golf and Country Club (vice president) and Charter Bank Business Advisory Board. He is a Fellow of the Wisconsin Bar Foundation and a member of the Eau Claire County Bar Association (former president), the Wisconsin Defense Counsel (former board member) and the Defense Research Institute (DRI) where he served as the State Representative for Wisconsin. Mike volunteers his time at the local free legal clinic and the Flying Eagles Ski Jumping Club.
