Department of Labor Issues Families First Coronavirus Response Act Poster - Clarifies FFCRA Effective Date
The Department of Labor has published the Employee Rights poster on the rights and responsibilities of employees and employers under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (“FFCRA” or the “Act”). Employers should act immediately to post the DOL Notice where other legal notices are posted for employees at the company. Employers also may email the notice to their employees or virtually post the notice on their intranet.
In the posting, which was revised on March 27, 2020, the DOL reflects employee relevant FFCRA information including the Act’s paid leave entitlements, eligibility requirements, qualification standards, and the Department of Labor’s enforcement authority. The DOL poster may be accessed here.
The Department of Labor has also clarified that the FFCRA becomes effective April 1, 2020.
