Individuals unaffiliated with our Firm may attempt to impersonate von Briesen and its personnel through email scams and other online fraud schemes. These attempts may seek to induce recipients to disclose personal or confidential information or to make unauthorized payments, and may involve fabricated documents or email addresses and contact details designed to closely resemble those of legitimate Firm personnel.

Please keep the following in mind:

• von Briesen will never request payment through messaging applications such as WhatsApp.
• We do not conduct professional business through personal email accounts, including services such as Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail.
• Our only online payment processors are LawPay and ODDR.
• von Briesen will never ask you to send funds to a new account, or to change existing wire or payment instructions, based solely on an email or other electronic message. If you receive a request to send or redirect a payment, please verify it with your von Briesen contact by telephone using a known, trusted number before acting.

If you receive an unexpected or unusual communication that appears to come from von Briesen, we encourage you to confirm its authenticity before responding. Please contact the Firm directly using the information published on our official website, vonbriesen.com, rather than relying on any contact details provided within the communication itself.

While we take these matters seriously and act diligently to protect our clients and our Firm, we cannot prevent third parties from attempting to impersonate von Briesen and its personnel. If you believe you have been targeted by, or have fallen victim to, a fraudulent scheme, we encourage you to notify the appropriate authorities promptly.
