von Briesen Welcomes Touly Vang as AI Innovation Manager
von Briesen & Roper, s.c., announced today that Touly Vang joined the Firm as AI Innovation Manager, a newly created position focused on advancing artificial intelligence initiatives and innovation throughout the Firm.
Vang will execute the Firm’s AI roadmap and design and deploy AI-enabled solutions across the entire Firm.
The creation of the AI Innovation Manager position builds on von Briesen’s history of technological and AI innovation. von Briesen was an early adopter of legal AI tools, including the IBM Watson-based “ROSS Intelligence” back in 2015. In 2016, the Firm was recognized by the State Bar of Wisconsin as a “Legal Innovator of the Year” as one of the first law firms in Wisconsin to use AI. Looking ahead, while the Firm has evaluated and piloted several legal industry AI platforms, it ultimately has decided to chart its own course by launching a private AWS Bedrock instance that will provide access to nearly every major AI model from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and xAI.
Susan Lovern, President and CEO of von Briesen, said, “Our AI journey has really taken off and we are accelerating our investment in both AI talent and technology. We have long viewed innovation as part of how we deliver exceptional service to our clients and meaningful support to our people. Touly’s experience in AI-driven solutions and technical support will help us drive efficiency and shape the future of our practice areas.”
Vang previously served as Technology Training Manager at i.c.stars, where he consulted on AI-driven solutions for large organizations and global service providers and as a Support Engineer with Northwestern Mutual.
