Chuck Nicholas brings a wealth of experience and a strong insurance and litigation background to von Briesen & Roper. He assists the Litigation and Risk Management Practice Group in all areas of litigation. The focus of his work includes insurance defense, subrogation defense, personal injury (both plaintiff and defense), and toxic tort litigation.
Prior to joining von Briesen, Chuck was a past Director in the Subrogation Major Case Unit for Travelers Insurance for ten years, managing national subrogation litigation for losses between $100,000 and $1,000,000. Prior to that he was in private practice with the law firm of Bagniefski & Nicholas in Rochester, Minnesota, while serving as a Minnesota State Public Defender. He also hosted a Rochester weekly radio call-in show, “The Law and You” for ten years.
Chuck served as local counsel for the Olmsted County United Way in Rochester, Minnesota. He was also active in the Greek community and volunteered in local youth sports for many years. In Milwaukee, Chuck is an avid Brewers, Bucks, Packers and Badgers fan, enjoys playing golf, and loves to spend his free time with his very large Greek family.
