Jim Oliver is Counsel in the Business Practice Group. He is an accomplished attorney and senior risk management executive with more than 25 years of experience advising organizations on complex legal, business, risk, and compliance matters. Jim is viewed as a trusted advisor who brings sound judgment, strategic insight, and a pragmatic approach to navigating complex legal and business challenges. His career spans private practice, senior roles at global corporations including KKR and DHL, and nonprofit leadership, giving him an integrated perspective that aligns legal strategy with business objectives.
Jim is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) who built and led internal audit programs for large, highly regulated organizations, including investigations into fraud and misappropriation. That forensic background shapes how he approaches commercial litigation, closely held shareholder disputes, and fraud claims.
Jim serves on the Board of the Notre Dame Club of Greater Jacksonville and, in his free time, enjoys cooking and
traveling.
