Our Knowledge in Retail Real Estate
von Briesen’s Retail Real Estate team has the experience and resources to efficiently and effectively represent a variety of stakeholders in the national, regional and local retail real estate marketplace including developers, owners, retailers, and investors of all sizes.
We serve as counsel to both landlords and tenants in all aspects of commercial leasing. Our team possesses a deep and comprehensive understanding of the retail real estate industry. We have applied that deep knowledge base in developing client specific approaches and systems to ensure appropriate uniformity, risk management, client reporting/visibility and best practices to meet our clients’ commercial and retail leasing needs. This allows us to be highly efficient in our representation and allows our clients to streamline their internal processes for managing their leasing activities. As a result, our team works in partnership with our clients to make them more profitable while minimizing their cost structure and risks.
In addition, local and regional developers seek our guidance in their effort to be more profitable and minimize risks in all aspects of their projects including purchase and sale transactions, land use issues, real property taxation and assessments, identification and management of environmental risks, construction litigation, financing, and leasing. We also provide counsel in the areas of acquisition of municipal approvals, drafting/review of shared access and use agreements and covenants, conditions and restrictions, and the acquisition of municipal incentives such as TIF financing. Our broad experience in these areas allows us to serve as trusted counsel as we assist our clients in navigating the project development process.
From negotiation of the letter of intent through the acquisition of financing and the closing of the transaction, our retail real estate team has the depth, experience, and sophistication to manage and advise on all aspects of sale and purchase transactions.
