Six New Faces Join von Briesen

von Briesen & Roper, s.c., today announced that five attorneys and a non-attorney professional focused on land use and development recently joined the firm.

Kevin J. Clark joined the Waukesha office as a Shareholder in the Litigation and Risk Management Practice Group. Clark focuses his practice on civil litigation in construction, real estate, land use and development matters representing developers, construction companies, commercial real estate brokerages, and municipalities. He also has significant experience in fiduciary litigation, estate litigation and trust and estate disputes. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Bar Association, Waukesha County Bar Association and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP-WI). Clark received a J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School and a B.A., cum laude, from Marquette University.

Maeve G. O'Malley is an Associate in the Waukesha office. O'Malley is a member of the Labor & Employment Section working with both private employers and governmental entities on a wide range of employment matters. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bar Association. O'Malley received a J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Marquette University.

Timothy J. Proue is a Shareholder in the Business Practice Group in the Eau Claire office. Proue counsels business and institutional clients on business formation, bylaws and governance, contract negotiation, mergers and acquisitions and employment. He also has significant experience working with nonprofit and religious organizations. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chippewa Falls Industrial Development Corporation and on the Education Commission for McDonell Area Catholic Schools. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and Chippewa County Bar Association. Proue received a J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Samuel A. Schultz is a Land Use and Development Advisor to the Real Estate and Government Groups in the Milwaukee office. He has significant experience assisting both the public and private sector with short and long-range community planning projects, including economic development, zoning and land division ordinances, community engagement and parks and open space projects. Shultz is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and CNU-Accredited by The Congress for the New Urbanism. He is the President of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Urban Planning Alumni Association and is the Commissioner of the Architectural Review Commission for the Village of Whitefish Bay. Schultz received a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a B.S. from Marquette University.

Meghan K. Wallace is an Associate in the Milwaukee office. Wallace joins the Health and Business Sections focusing her practice on corporate law and transactional matters for businesses, health care and nonprofit organizations. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bar Association. Wallace received a J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School and a B.A., cum laude, from DePauw University.

Melissa L. Weinstein is an Associate in the Milwaukee office. Weinstein is a member of the Litigation and Risk Management Practice Group focusing her practice on commercial and business litigation including shareholder disputes, breach of contract matters and business torts. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bar Association. Weinstein received a J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School and a B.A. from the University of Iowa.
