Cindy Hangartner devotes her practice to estate planning, business and agricultural succession plans, and advising for-profit and nonprofit businesses, including cooperatives and religious organizations. Cindy also focuses on State and Local Tax (SALT) issues and the New Markets Tax Credit Program.
Cindy regularly counsels clients on complex estate planning techniques including legacy gifts and charitable remainder trusts, recommends tax saving strategies, and assists clients with asset protection. She advises clients on structuring business succession plans to increase tax savings and successfully transitions businesses to family members or employees. Cindy also represents clients in trust administration and probate matters.
For nonprofit and for-profit businesses, Cindy helps with corporate governance matters and regularly helps nonprofit organizations obtain and/or maintain their 501(c)(3) status.
Cindy is active with several organizations in Eau Claire, including serving on the Board of Trustees and as Secretary of the Eau Claire Community Foundation and is Vice President of the Confluence Council at the Pablo Center. She is a member of the Women’s Giving Circle and was a former Board Member and President of Feed My People.
