von Briesen has been assisting individuals and business owners with their estate planning needs for more than 100 years. Our goal is to craft estate plans that perfectly fit our clients’ particular situations and accomplishes their short and long-term planning goals. This requires strategic planning, competent tax analysis and meticulous drafting. Whether we are working with owners of closely held businesses, senior executives of major corporations, or professionals, we strive to create custom estate plans that provide practical solutions.
Our services include the preparation of Wills, Revocable Trusts, Irrevocable Gift and Life Insurance Trusts, Charitable Trusts and Private Foundations, Family Limited Partnerships, Marital Property Agreements, and Powers of Attorney. The specific structures of the estate plans we prepare addresses various income, estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer and other tax considerations. In addition, we work collaboratively with the client’s team of professionals, including accountants, financial advisors, and insurance providers, to develop an effective and efficient wealth management strategy that best serves the client.
We also recognize that while estate planning is a project, it is also a process. Therefore, we focus on creating and assisting in the implementation of the entire estate plan. These services include:
- Estate and trust administration (including probate services, if required)
- Representation of fiduciaries and beneficiaries
- Tax compliance services
- Financial counseling
In addition, our Business Succession team counsels clients regarding the unique estate and business planning needs of business owning individuals and families.
