During her sixteen years with the firm, Valerie has worked extensively on estate and business planning matters. She has assisted in the preparation of numerous estate plans for clients including funding trusts through the preparation of asset transfer documents and beneficiary designation forms. She irons out complicated real estate matters with regard to title issues and precise legal descriptions and has prepared countless deeds and transfer returns for the purpose of transferring real estate. She has assisted on numerous business and real estate purchase and sale transactions, preparing all manner of documents related to both including agreements, exhibits, amortization schedules, disclosure schedules, consent resolutions, and certificates, and she frequently files UCC Financing Statements, Continuations, and Terminations related to such transactions. She has formed numerous LLCs and corporations and is well versed in the preparation of organizational documents for both. She obtains FEINs for trusts, LLCs, and corporations and is responsible for filing Annual Reports for many LLCs and corporations. She has been instrumental in analyzing and summarizing many clients’ corporate records, including stock transfers, and their current estate planning documents. She has assisted in the preparation of many Stock Restriction and Purchase Agreements and numerous rounds of stock gifting documents. She has also assisted with the dissolution and winding up of several business entities.
In addition, Valerie assists the firm’s government finance team through the organization and preparation of documents for execution.
Prior to joining the firm, Valerie worked as a legal assistant in the insurance industry. She began her career working for a software company where she gained experience in a variety of areas.
