Our Provider Groups and Clinics Section focuses on the ever-increasing business and regulatory challenges faced by physicians, physical therapists, advanced practice providers, and other providers, whether they practice as a large multi-specialty group, a sole practitioner, or somewhere in-between. We work with clients to develop organizational and governance documents; implement restructuring plans and succession planning; recruit new talent; assess business and growth opportunities; address reimbursement matters; manage payer relationships and advise on regulatory issues; manage employment matters; design compensation plans and formulas; and implement strategic planning initiatives.
We help clients structure and document their strategic business relationships with hospitals and health systems, other provider groups, provider networks, health plans, and community organizations. Examples include service line management arrangements, value-based payment initiatives, and call coverage agreements.
Our team specializes in assisting with the rapidly growing presence of investments from private equity firms in physician practices. We advise clients in properly structuring physician practices from the outset and facilitating regulatory compliant investments from private equity firms. We have significant experience in numerous jurisdictions with fee splitting restrictions, corporate practice of medicine doctrines, and other regulatory frameworks that impact these investments.
