von Briesen’s Health Section counsels health industry clients on the full range of regulatory compliance challenges that these entities face today. Our team includes attorneys with both extensive transactional experience and experience representing the government agencies that enforce the web of regulations that impact health care providers.

Our multi-disciplinary expertise enables us to provide results-oriented advice on a wide-variety of complex issues from compliance with the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and the Stark Law to billing and payment regulations and guidance. When potential compliance issues are identified, von Briesen provides counsel for the internal audit process under the attorney-client privilege and evaluates any potential refund or self-disclosure obligation. To mitigate the risk presented by the challenge of regulatory compliance, our team includes a certified compliance professional and we assist clients with creating and implementing corporate compliance programs and provide compliance education and training.
